2K Waterborne Polyurethane Targets Protective Applications

Pittsburgh Paints Co. has introduced PITTHANE® Ultra Waterborne Polyurethane, a two-component gloss coating developed for commercial and protective applications currently using solventborne urethanes.
The waterborne polyurethane is formulated at less than 50 g/L VOC and is designed to provide abrasion and chemical resistance, adhesion, weather resistance and color and gloss retention. Pittsburgh Paints says the coating is MPI 256 certified and LEED v4 compliant.
The coating can be applied by spray, brush or roller and is ready for recoating in two hours. Pittsburgh Paints identifies commercial infrastructure, hospitality, multifamily, institutional and new-construction projects among its intended applications.
The product expands the company's PITTHANE Ultra portfolio and joins its broader line of protective coating systems.
