Röhm Raises European Methacrylate Prices €100/Metric Ton
Röhm GmbH has increased prices for MERACRYL® methyl methacrylate and other methacrylate monomers in Europe by €100/metric ton, effective Sept. 14 as agreements allow.
The company attributed the European adjustment to higher raw-material and energy costs. Röhm announced the increase Sept. 4.
The company also announced separate price increases for South and East Asia. Effective Sept. 3 as contracts allow, prices for MMA, nBMA and IBMA increased by $100/metric ton. Röhm attributed those adjustments to increasing raw-material costs, sea freight costs and supply tightness.
The adjustments are relevant to coatings manufacturers following changes in paint and coating resins and polymers and raw-material pricing.
