Trinseo Raises EMEA PMMA Resin Prices €250 per Metric Ton
Trinseo and its European affiliates will increase prices for all ALTUGLAS polymethyl methacrylate resins sold in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by €250 per metric ton.
The adjustment takes effect Oct. 1 or as existing contract terms allow. The company did not give a reason for the increase in its pricing notice.
The ALTUGLAS PMMA portfolio serves a broad range of plastics, surface-material and specialty applications. Trinseo also offers acrylic technologies for coatings, surface effects, surface protection and related formulation uses. Not every affected grade should be characterized as a conventional paint or coatings resin.
The increase affects a broad acrylic-resin family that includes materials relevant to coatings, binders and surface protection, adding another cost signal to PCI’s coverage of paint and coating resins and polymers.
