C2 Paint has named Pueblo (C2-510) its 2027 Color of the Year, selecting a warm hue that moves between earth, rose and brown as surrounding light changes.
Pueblo leads Rural Renaissance, C2 Paint’s 2027 color story exploring renewed interest in creativity, craftsmanship, gardening, cooking, collecting and other sensory experiences.
C2“We’ve all been in a period of restoration and renewal, so we asked ourselves: What comes next? We re-engage,” said Philippa Radon, interior designer and C2 Paint color specialist.
Radon described Pueblo as having an earthen quality with rose undertones and a brown base softened by warmth. Its appearance can shift throughout the day, with different characteristics becoming more prominent in morning, afternoon and evening light.
Three supporting colors expand the Rural Renaissance palette.
Death by Chocolate (C2-805) is a deep brown inspired by cacao, coffee, dark wood and rich soil. Ambrosia (C2-529) is a light peach-toned hue intended to emphasize Pueblo’s warmer rose characteristics. Element (C2-685) is a muted mineral green inspired by weathered landscapes and natural materials.
Together, C2 Paint said the colors are intended to create a layered palette with a mix of depth, softness, earthiness and freshness.
The company developed Rural Renaissance around what it describes as a renewed interest in tactile experiences and everyday rituals, including working with natural materials, making objects by hand and reconnecting with color through food, plants and changing light.
Founded in 1998, C2 Paint works with independent paint retailers and offers a full-spectrum color system and curated architectural color palette across North America.
The selection gives readers following architectural coatings another indication that 2027 color forecasting is continuing to favor complex, nature-influenced hues and coordinated palettes rather than isolated statement colors.
