Ravago Chemicals North America Transitions to Mays Chemical

Ravago Chemicals North America has announced that it is becoming Mays Chemical, effective Oct. 1.
A notice on the distributor’s official website identifies the change and directs visitors to the Mays Chemical website. The announcement applies specifically to Ravago Chemicals North America.
The North American business supplies raw materials for coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers. Its CASE portfolio includes additives, pigments, fillers, colorants and solvents, along with polymers such as binders, elastomers, hardeners, modifiers and rust converters.
The distributor identifies aerospace, building and construction, industrial, road, marine and packaging applications among the markets served by that portfolio.
Mays Chemical’s existing industrial business also serves coatings and adhesives manufacturers, alongside customers in lubricants, water treatment, cleaning products and heat-transfer fluids. Its published industrial product range includes solvents, glycols, acids and other formulation and processing materials.
Mays lists sourcing, blending and packing, supply-chain consolidation and bulk-delivery services among its capabilities. The company’s industrial business supports deliveries by tank wagon and rail car.
The public transition notice does not specify changes to ownership, legal entities, supplier authorizations, sales territories, personnel or operating locations. Customers are directed to the Mays site for company information.
The name change affects a supplier in the paint and coating distribution network, making it relevant to formulators and purchasing teams maintaining supplier records and sourcing relationships.
