Eastman Raises Oxo Chemical Prices in the Americas

Eastman Chemical Co. will raise prices on four oxo chemicals in North America and Latin America effective Nov. 4, 2026, or as contracts allow.
The company announced an off-list increase of $0.08 per pound, or $0.18 per kilogram, for Eastman N-Propyl Alcohol, Eastman N-Butyl Alcohol and Eastman 2-ethylhexanol.
Eastman 2-ethylhexanoic acid will increase $0.10 per pound, or $0.22 per kilogram.
Eastman attributed the adjustments to elevated operating costs, particularly raw-material costs.
The action follows separate October announcements covering glycol ether solvents and plasticizers. PCI reported those changes Oct. 23, but the Nov. 4 oxo increases cover a different group of products and therefore warrant a separate Price Alert.
Alcohols, acids and other oxo products can serve as solvents, intermediates and formulation inputs across coatings and related CASE markets. The announcement gives purchasing teams another raw-material cost change to track through PCI's Price Alerts.
