Caldic, Wanhua Expand Waterborne Resin Distribution Across Nordics

Caldic and Wanhua Chemical have formed a distribution partnership covering waterborne resins and complementary additives across the Nordic region.
Under the agreement, Caldic will bring Wanhua's waterborne resin technologies to customers in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
The companies are targeting architectural and industrial coatings as well as adhesives, sealants and construction applications.
Wanhua's waterborne portfolio is positioned for lower-VOC formulations and other performance and sustainability requirements in the region.
Caldic will combine local sales and customer support with formulation and application-development capabilities. An important part of the technical support will come through Caldic's Ingrentia platform in Barcelona, located near Wanhua Chemical's European R&D operations.
Caldic said the platform can support product selection, formulation development, application testing and customized solutions where existing products do not fully meet an application requirement.
Bram Beekman, industry leader CASC Europe at Caldic, said Nordic coatings markets place particularly high demands on sustainability, regulation and technical performance.
Wanhua said the partnership will combine its resin technology with Caldic's local market and application expertise as it expands its presence in the Nordic region.
The agreement expands regional access to waterborne binders while pairing distribution with formulation support, a model that is becoming increasingly important as manufacturers adapt coatings to lower-VOC and performance requirements.
