CLEVELAND - Day-Glo Color Corp., Cleveland, has acquired the fluorescent pigment business unit of Sun Chemical Corp. in a transaction involving the transfer of inventory, equipment and intellectual property.

Day-Glo, a unit of RPM Inc., said the purchase includes Sun Chemical's SunBrite fluorescent-color product line, which will be added to Day-Glo's existing line. Sun Chemical said the sale reflects its plan to focus on its core high-performance organic pigments business.

Day-Glo is a supplier of fluorescent dyes, pigments, dispersions, paints, inks, and bases, and operates facilities in Cleveland; Twinsburg, OH; Cudahy, CA; and Houthalen, Belgium.
