COLUMBIA, MD — W.R. Grace & Co. has acquired International Protective Coatings Corp., a manufacturer of firestop products and systems based in Middletown, NJ. The acquired company, with annual sales of $8 million, will be integrated into Grace’s Performance Chemicals business unit.
Firestops are designed to compartmentalize and contain fire and smoke from spreading through walls and between floors within a building. W.R. Grace said the acquisition reflects its strategy to provide “comprehensive fireproofing solutions to the marketplace.”
