Christine Angos

Bogard Lagman, executive vice president, Charles Ross & Son Company, has announced the addition ofChristine Angosas a new application engineer to the corporate staff in Hauppauge, N.Y. Angos is a graduate of the University of the Philippines with a degree in chemical engineering.

Nelson Augé will collaborate with CHEMARK, Southern Pines, N.C., to assist its clients with the development of comprehensive and coordinated manufacturing operations in coatings, adhesives and sealants-production disciplines. Most recently, Augé held positions as president and COO of Marcus Paint and vice president of Manufacturing and Operations for the Chemical Coatings Division of The Sherwin-Williams Co.

Steve Balmer, president and COO of I.C.T.C. Holdings Corp., parent company to HERO, Milan, Italy, has announced the hiring of Angelo Capi as managing director, Europe. Capi will be charged with overseeing the establishment of HERO in the European market with a local presence for the supply and service of point-of-sale colorant-dispensing equipment and paint mixers.

Electro Abrasives Corp., Buffalo, N.Y., has appointed Robert Christensen regional sales engineer. He brings to Electro Abrasives over 20 years of experience in the ceramics industry.

Randall Vasseur, director of sales North America for Reichhold Coating Resins, announced the appointment ofJulie Fuellto distribution sales manager. Fuell will have direct responsibility for managing all Coatings distribution businesses in North America and the Far East. Tony Rende, director of business management for Reichhold Coatings Resins, announced the appointment ofFred Penelto product manager. Penel will have responsibility for managing the product life cycle of Reichhold's coatings products.

Karen Vazquez

Fitz Chem Corp., Itasca, Ill., announced thatPenny Kichkahas joined its Customer Service Department as a customer service representative.

Masco Corp., Taylor, Mich., appointedClay Kiefaber to group president of the Architectural Coatings and Windows Group.

Karen Strauss has been appointed president of the Builder Cabinet Group.

Masco also namedJai Shahto vice president, strategic planning. Shah will assist the company's group executives in the development of their platform strategic plans and coordinate their integration with the company's overall corporate strategic plan.

BASF, Wyandotte, Mich., has appointedJames C. Petersonnational accounts manager for the company's Urethane Chemicals business in North America. Peterson is now responsible for sales of BASF's urethane chemicals for coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers applications in the United States. He has been with BASF for five years, most recently as regional product manager for BASF's Automotive OEM Coatings business in North America.

Hockmeyer Equipment Corp., Elizabeth City, N.C., has named three new equipment representatives:

  • Edward Schaefer, EnQuip West, Brea, Calif., has territorial responsibilities that include Arizona, Southern California and Southern Nevada.
  • David Bowlin, Engineered Products and Services, Inc., Sammamish, Wash., has responsibilities for Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii.
  • Rod Leavitt, Leavitt-Pacific Co., Alameda, Calif., is responsible for Nevada and Northern California.
  • Dainippon Ink & Chemicals (DIC), Sun Chemical Corp.'s ultimate parent, has elected Naoki Tsuji and Kazuo Kudo to the board of Sun Chemical Corp. In addition, Tsuji will become vice chairman of the board. Tsuji's current position is president, DIC Logistics, and Kudo's current position is general manager, Corporate Strategic Planning.

    Wes Lucas has resigned from his position of president and CEO of Sun Chemical, but will remain as chairman of the board. DIC has appointed David Hill as CEO and president of Sun Chemical Corp., succeeding Lucas. Hill will also join the board of Sun Chemical Corp.

    International Paint LLC, Houston, a division of Akzo Nobel, has recently hired Jason Weber to serve as its newest senior account executive for the Northeast United States. Weber was previously employed as a chemical industrial and marine coatings sales representative for The Sherwin Williams Co.
