Curtiss-Wright Corp. Acquires UK Specialty Coatings Business
ROSELAND, NJ - Curtiss-Wright Corp. has acquired certain assets of the Evesham, UK, coatings business operated by the Morgan Advanced Ceramics Ltd. subsidiary of Morgan Crucible Plc. The purchase price was approximately £3.4 million, or about $6.35 million.
Curtiss-Wright Corp. said the acquired business will operate as part of the E/M Coatings business unit of the company's Metal Treatment segment. Curtiss-Wright in 2003 acquired E/M Coatings' six service facilities in North America.
The Evesham business manufactures and applies a range of solid film lubricant (SFL) coatings, which are designed to provide lubrication, corrosion resistance and enhanced engineering performance.
Curtiss-Wright designs, manufactures and overhauls products for motion-control and flow-control applications and provides metal treatment services.
