  • Gasparik has accepted the position of plant manager for CVC Specialty Chemicals, Inc. In this role, he will lead the company's manufacturing operation of specialty epoxy raw materials in the Maple Shade, N.J., facility.

  • Bogard Lagman, executive vice president, has announced the addition of a new application engineer Ramiro (Little) Magboo to the corporate staff of Charles Ross & Son Company, Hauppauge, N.Y. Magboo worked with Shell Petroleum before joining Ross.

  • Cary Company, Addison, Ill., has added Don Landes, formerly with Elementis Specialties, to its sales group.

  • Rohm and Haas Powder Coatings, Philadelphia, a global leader in powder coatings, is strengthening its North American operations with the appointment of Joe Laubenthal in the Chicago area.

  • Sartomer Co., Exton, Pa., has expanded its operations in the Asia/Pacific region with the formation of the Sartomer Asia division. David Long is leading the division as general manager. Sartomer has also opened Sartomer Japan in Tokyo. General Manager Masaru Fukuda leads the Japan office.

  • TIGER Drylac Canada Inc., a Guelph-based powder-coating manufacturer, has appointed Larry McNeely as its new president and CEO.

  • Shruti Singhal takes on the role of director, global key account management, for Cognis' Polymers, Coatings & Inks business, Monheim, Germany. He will be based at the company's U.S. affiliate in Ambler, Pa. Ina Puscasu will take over his former role as market and concept development manager for consumer coatings.

  • Atlas Material Testing Technology LLC, Chicago, manufacturer of weathering testing instruments and services, has announced that Harrison Smitelli and Marty Hansen will be joining the company as technical sales representatives. Smitelli will be responsible for the Southeastern United States. Hansen will cover the Midwest.

  • Michelman, Cincinnati, Ohio, has announced that David Towell has assumed the position of global marketing manager - Paint and Coatings. Dr. Alain Bouvy has assumed the newly created position of marketing manager EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Vladimir Nunez will step into Bouvy's former job as sales manager for South Europe.

  • DSM NeoResins, Waalwijk, The Netherlands, has announced the following appointments, which have been made upon the retirement of Henk van de Wiel, commercial director of DSM NeoResins.

    The following business managers will expand the DSM NeoResins Business Management Team: Ad Ernst (business manager Coatings Europe, Middle East & Africa), Larry Evans (business manager Coatings North & Mid-America) and Sjaak Griffioen (global business manager Adhesives and Graphic Arts).

    Steven Chu (business manager Asia Pacific) will remain the business manager for Coatings APC. All business managers will report to Monika Riese-Martin, business unit director DSM NeoResins.

    Caroline Moon will become responsible for the global supply chain in addition to her role as global finance and control director. Rob Arnoldus will continue in his current role as R&T director, and Ivo Lansbergen will join DSM NeoResins as manager strategic projects.

    At the same time, Martin Vlak has been appointed sales and demand manager for Coatings EMA, reporting to Ad Ernst, and Erwin van Laere has become the sales and demand manager for Global AGA reporting to Sjaak Griffioen.

    Henk van de Wiel's local management role in DSM NeoResins BV in Waalwijk has been taken up by Stef Wilders, HR manager of the DSM NeoResins Business Unit.

  • Ribelin Sales, Inc., Garland, Texas, has promoted Dan Weiss to vice president of marketing. Weiss has been a Ribelin technical sales representative for 11 years and was previously employed by Neville Chemical Company.
