Augé
- Nelson Augé has joined Kelley Technical Coatings, Louisville, Ky., as executive vice president. Augé was formerly president of the Marcus Paint Company and was vice president of Manufacturing and Operations for the Chemical Coatings Division of Sherwin-Williams.
Bernard
- International Paint LLC, Houston, a division of Akzo Nobel, has hired Bob Bernard to serve as its new engineering account executive for the high-value infrastructure markets throughout Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.
- Sartomer Company, Exton, Pa., has named Brian Contrisciane technical sales representative. Contrisciane is responsible for developing and maintaining new and future accounts in the New England region. He reports directly to Earl Emerson, Eastern sales manager.
- Holliday Pigments, Hull, England, has brought on board Martin Elliott as regional sales and marketing manager, covering the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Latin America.
- Hockmeyer Equipment Corp. , Elizabeth City, N.C., has named two new equipment representatives. Daniyel Firestone with Norstone, Inc., Wyncote, Pa., has territorial responsibilities that include the area of Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, New York City and Long Island. Brian Leavitt with Process Innovations, Dartmouth, Mass., has territorial responsibilities that include the area of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Eastern New York.
Grzelak
- NETZSCH Fine Particle Technology, LLC, Exton, Pa., has named Stephen M. Grzelak Midwest region sales manager. He will manage all aspects of NETZSCH customer relationships in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
- Michelman, Cincinnati, has hired Christophe Maertens in the new position of laboratory supervisor at the company’s Aubange, Belgium, facility.
Giesselman
- The Dow Chemical Company, Midland, Mich., announced that Horacio Percossi has been named business vice president for the Specialty Chemicals business portfolio. Janet Giesselman, vice president of Corporate Affairs for Dow AgroSciences (DAS), has been named business vice president of the Dow Latex business. Both Percossi and Giesselman will report to Romeo Kreinberg, executive vice president of Dow’s Performance Plastics and Chemicals portfolio.
- International Paint LLC, Houston, a division of Akzo Nobel, has hired Tim Riley to serve as marketing manager for the high-value infrastructure markets throughout North America. Riley will help direct the company’s long-term efforts for developing the growth of intumescent fireproofing and high-performance coatings sales in high-value infrastructure markets.
- Mark Rysak has joined E.W. Kaufmann Company, Southampton, Pa., as a sales representative in the metropolitan New York market. His territory includes four New York City boroughs as well as Newark through Southern New Jersey.
- Fitz Chem Corp. , Itasca, Ill., welcomes Gabriele Vega as a sales coordinator. Vega has extensive experience in support positions. Fitz Chem is an active member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors.
- Deacom, Inc. , Wayne, Pa., announced that Susan Shaw has been promoted to director of marketing.
- Shruti Singhal has been named North American market manager for Traffic Paint Polymers by Rohm and Haas Company, Architectural and Functional Coatings Business, Spring House, Pa.
- Nuplex Resins has appointed Kelly Smith to business development manager, Waterborne Technologies and New Markets – the Americas. Prior to his move to the United States, Smith was general manager of the Nuplex Resins’ Foshan, China, operation.
- Schlenk-Both Metallic Pigments has announced that Michael Sproule has joined the company as technical director of Paints and Coatings. Sproule will be responsible for the technical service lab in Ashland, Mass., and manage technical support for Schlenk’s U.S. customers.
- Eliokem, Akron, Ohio, appointed Douglas Thompson as sales representative for the Midwest territory.
- Tim Zech has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Sostram Corp. , Roswell, Ga.
