TORRINGTON, CT - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named A. Gregory Bachmann, President of DYMAX Corp. of Torrington, CT, the 2011 Connecticut Small Business Person of the Year. Bachmann, President of DYMAX since 2005, will receive the award May 24, 2011.

Bachmann’s father, Andrew G. Bachmann, founded DYMAX in 1980, growing the company from an invention he developed in a basement laboratory into a global supplier of structural adhesives, coatings, encapsulants and light-curing systems widely used in assembly applications. Thirty years later, the products manufactured by DYMAX continue to provide design engineers with tools to dramatically improve manufacturing efficiency and lower their costs. Today, DYMAX has over 200 employees globally and holds more than 25 patents.
