DALLAS - Oxea has increased prices on a number of the company’s products.

The company will increase off-list prices on certain solvents effective October 1, 2013, or as contract allow. In the United States, Canada and Mexico, i/n butanol will increase $0.02/lb (list price, Zone 1: $1.78/lb), i/n butyl acetate will increase $0.03/lb (list price, Zone 1: $1.51/lb), n butyraldehyde will increase $0.02/lb (list price, Zone 1: $1.79/lb), n propanol will increase $0.03/lb (list price, Zone 1: $1.45/lb), and n propyl acetate will increase $0.03/lb (list price, Zone 1: $1.43/lb). In South and Central America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, i/n butyl acetate, n propanol, and n propyl acetate will increase $66/mt, and i/n butanol will increase $44/mt.

The company will continue the 100 percent sales control on all products in the Intermediates portfolio. The sales control will be based on the average monthly consumption over the last six months or as allowed by contract.

Effective October 1, 2013, or as contracts allow, Oxea will increase list and off-list prices of neopentyl glycol (NPG) $0.05/lb in North America, $150/mt in Latin America and Asia, and EUR 100/mt in Europe.

Effective October 1, 2013, or as contract allow, Oxea is increasing list and off-list prices of 2-ethylhexanoic acid $0.02/lb in North America.
