Bung-Mount Mixer Supports High-Viscosity Blending in Drum Applications
INDCO introduced its BUG-series gear-drive bung-mount mixers for blending viscous materials in drum applications. The mixers feature a 5:1 helical gearbox to generate torque for mixing heavy paints, resins and polymers, as well as re-suspending settled materials.
The units thread into standard 2-inch NPT bung openings and include stainless steel wetted parts for chemical resistance. Folding impellers collapse for insertion and expand during operation, supporting use in closed or open 55-gallon drums.
Multiple motor configurations are available, including air, TEFC, variable speed and explosion-proof electric options. These configurations support a range of operating environments, including hazardous locations requiring explosion protection.
