LANXESS Raises Select Product Prices by 40%

LANXESS announced it is increasing prices for sulfur-based products from its Advanced Industrial Intermediates business unit by an average of 40%, effective immediately.
The affected products include sulfuric acid, oleum and sodium bisulfite.
The company said the increase is driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions that have significantly raised costs for sulfur, as well as logistics and energy. LANXESS said the adjustment falls outside its regular pricing schedule.
Despite efforts to maintain stable pricing, the company said the increase is necessary to ensure supply reliability and continuity.
