TV Paints LLC continued manufacturing EasyCare and Majic products during True Value’s first full year under Do it Best Group.
TV Paints LLC manufactured paints and stains at its Cary, Illinois, facility during 2025. The operation supplied EasyCare® interior and exterior paints and Majic® paint products for independent hardware and farm and agricultural retailers, along with private-label products for third-party customers.
Do it Best completed its acquisition of True Value in November 2024, including the company’s paint-manufacturing facilities. For the 2025 reporting period, the paint-manufacturing operation is identified as TV Paints LLC, with Do it Best Group recognized as the parent company. The company confirmed that 2025 coatings sales were consistent with 2024, and that leadership and product mix also remained consistent with the prior year.

Sales are shown at approximately $110 million, consistent with the $110 million in 2024 coatings sales reported in PCI’s previous ranking. The amount has been carried forward without assuming a year-over-year increase or decrease and is identified as a PCI estimate. The prior figure was reported specifically as coatings sales, so the carried-forward figure is presented on the same basis.
In June 2026, Do it Best Group and Sherwin-Williams announced a long-term strategic partnership covering the paint category for Do it Best members and True Value retailers. Under the agreement, Do it Best said it would retain ownership and management of the EasyCare and Best Look paint brands, while Sherwin-Williams would assume manufacturing responsibilities for EasyCare products and continue manufacturing Best Look products. The agreement also included Sherwin-Williams’ acquisition of the Majic and Shur-Line brands, with exclusivity preserved for Do it Best and True Value retailers in the independent and owned hardware channel. Because that development followed the 2025 reporting period, it does not affect this year’s ranking treatment.

Notes: In April 2025, True Value Manufacturing was named Chamber Partner of the Year by the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce. The local report identified the Cary operation as TV Paints LLC.
In June, the True Value Foundation awarded 171 Painting a Brighter Future grants to retailers supporting schools, Boys & Girls Clubs and youth-focused nonprofits. The grants included 3,420 gallons of paint, covering an estimated 1.4 million sq ft of refreshed community spaces.
