2026 PCI 25: Honorable Mention, Tnemec Company, Inc.
Tnemec’s 2025 PCI 25 profile follows waterborne product launches, water-infrastructure activity and a new Tank of the Year winner.
Founded in 1921, Tnemec Company, Inc. manufactures high-performance protective coatings and linings for architectural, industrial, marine, power, flooring, water-storage and water and wastewater applications. The privately held company’s portfolio includes coating systems for corrosion protection, containment, tank linings, resinous floors and walls, insulation and water repellency. Tnemec products are sold through a network of independent sales representatives and supported by manufacturing and distribution operations in North America and China.
Tnemec reported 2024 coatings sales of $200 million-$225 million in PCI’s previous ranking. With a comparable 2025 sales figure unavailable, Tnemec is now in PCI’s Honorable Mentions section.

Notes: In June, Tnemec introduced Series 1061 Oculox, a water-based silicon-grafted composite topcoat developed for color and gloss retention in demanding exterior applications. The company said the product is designed to offer durability without isocyanates.
Also in June, Tnemec introduced Series 288 and 289 Enviro-Pox, breathable, low-VOC waterborne epoxy coatings for floor and wall applications. The products are available in clear and factory-tinted options.
In 2025, Kevin Morris joined Tnemec as director of sales for water and wastewater. His role includes support and expansion of the company’s coating and lining portfolio for water tanks, treatment plants, pipelines and related infrastructure.
In October, Tnemec named Fargo, North Dakota’s downtown water tower its 2025 Tank of the Year. The 2.5-million-gallon structure, the largest elevated water-storage facility in North Dakota, features a community-designed mural protected by Tnemec’s Series 700 HydroFlon fluoropolymer finish.
