RPM Completes Acquisition of Italian Waterproofing Supplier Volteco

RPM International Inc. has completed its acquisition of Volteco S.p.A., an Italy-based supplier of below-grade waterproofing systems, for its Tremco Construction Products Group.
RPM announced the closing Oct. 1, following the definitive agreement disclosed Sept. 23. The transaction adds a waterproofing technology platform to Tremco CPG’s existing construction products business.
Headquartered in Ponzano Veneto, Italy, Volteco reported €28 million in calendar 2025 sales. Its portfolio includes the Amphibia waterproofing sheet membrane, bagged powder products for patch-and-repair applications, flexible liquids, mortars, resins and damp-proofing materials. Pasted markdown(10)
“Volteco is an excellent complement to the product lines of our Tremco Construction Products Group,” Frank Sullivan, RPM chairman and CEO, said when the agreement was announced.
“This acquisition provides Tremco CPG with new technologies that can be leveraged through its global sales force to drive growth and enhance its ‘Power of One’ value proposition for customers.” Pasted markdown(10)
Waterproofing for Major Projects
Volteco’s systems have been used to protect historic landmarks in Venice and in the construction of the Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena in Milan, a venue for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Other applications include the underground tunnel connecting the Abruzzo Regional Citadel with the L’Aquila bus terminal and Y-40, a thermal diving pool in Italy. The projects demonstrate the range of structural and below-grade applications served by Volteco’s waterproofing portfolio.
Expanded Building-Envelope Portfolio
Tremco CPG brings together building-envelope manufacturers and brands including Tremco, Nudura, Dryvit, Willseal, Flowcrete, Nullifire and Vandex. Its businesses operate across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, India and Latin America.
The group combines regional distribution with technical support, training and testing for commercial, industrial and residential construction. RPM’s stated rationale for the acquisition is to introduce Volteco’s technologies through that broader international organization. Pasted markdown(10)
