Modine Expands E-Coat Capacity for Data Center Cooling Market

Modine is expanding coating capacity at its Jacksonville, Texas, operation with a fully automated ElectroFin microchannel e-coat and topcoat line designed to support growing demand for data center and HVAC cooling equipment.
Engineering work is underway on the line, which is expected to be completed in November 2027. Modine said the investment will effectively double its microchannel coating capacity.
The automated system will process aluminum microchannel coils. The facility's existing ElectroFin batch e-coat line will remain in operation for round-tube plate-fin coils, allowing the company to maintain that capability while increasing throughput for microchannel products.
The expansion is being driven in part by growth in cooling requirements for data centers, where heat-exchanger durability and corrosion protection are increasingly important as infrastructure investment accelerates.
This is a direct example of new end-market demand translating into investment in coating and finishing capacity. The project also demonstrates the role of e-coat and protective topcoats in the rapidly expanding data-center cooling supply chain.
