International Paint LLC, Houston, a division of Akzo Nobel, has hired Chuck Bacha to serve as its newest senior account executive for the Southeastern United States. The company has also employed Max Tritremmel to act as Protective Coatings Zone sales manager and Bill Dempster to serve as engineering services manager for the New England region.

The Flood Company, Hudson, Ohio, has introduced Jim Bennis as director of contractor and property management sales.

Brendan Cummins has been appointed to the new position of chief operating officer of Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Tarrytown, N.Y. Giordano Righini, currently head of Business Line Coatings, will succeed Cummins as global head of the Plastic Additives segment and becomes a member of the Executive Committee.

Prater-Sterling, Bolingbrook, Ill., recently engaged Christopher J. Emond as its systems sales and business development manager, reporting to Brian Bernard, the director of systems sales.

Lintech International, Macon, Ga., has added two new sales representatives to the company's Plastics, Rubber, Adhesives and Composites group. Scott Erwin, based in Atlanta, will cover Eastern Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Stan Trzcinski, based in Atlanta, covers Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and East Tennessee for sales to the textile, lubricant and metalworking; HI&I; floor care; personal care; and chemical intermediates markets. Based in Memphis, Art Scott handles the sales for all industries covered by Lintech in Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri.

Elementis plc, Staines, UK, announced that the company's chief executive officer, Geoff Gaywood, has resigned. Edward Bramson will become executive chairman.
