WASHINGTON — Lester Thurow, an authority on international economics and professor of management and economics at MIT for more than 30 years, will deliver the keynote address at the National Paint & Coatings Association (NPCA)’s Annual Meeting, scheduled for Oct. 17-19 in Dallas. The association also announced other featured speakers and program details for the meeting, including a guest program that will feature visits to sites related to the assassination of former president John F. Kennedy.

Thurow is the author of several books, has written articles for several major newspapers and has been featured twice on “60 Minutes.”

Other speakers will include business experts Robert J. Koch, Morris R. Shechtman and Eric Flamholtz. Koch is a longtime coatings-industry executive who operates the consulting firm Robert J. Koch Associates. He specializes in marketing research. Schechtman is an expert on “change management,” and Flamholtz, professor of management at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, is considered an authority on the concept of human capital measurement and intellectual property.
