CLEVELAND – Sherwin-Williams MIL-DTL-53022 Type V Aerosol Enhanced Corrosion Epoxy Primer, a two-component epoxy, is now available. The MIL-DTL-53022 Type V Aerosol Enhanced Corrosion Epoxy primer is the first epoxy technology available in an aerosol to be approved by the Army Research Lab in Aberdeen, MD.

Offering excellent corrosion resistance, the new primer is an aerosol version of Sherwin-Williams MIL-DTL-53022 Type IV 2K liquid spray epoxy primer and meets the specification requirements of 1,000 hours of salt spray and 40 cycles of cyclic corrosion. It is available in 250mL and 400mL sizes.

Market applications include military, heavy equipment and automotive end-uses. Completely portable, the fast-drying primer may be used under CARC topcoats or any application where corrosion resistance is needed.
