Adhesive Formulated Without Isocyanates Targets Rail and Industrial Bonding

Henkel has introduced TEROSON MS 940, a one-component adhesive and sealant for elastic bonding in rail and industrial applications.
The product is formulated without isocyanates and uses a new polymer package intended to combine elongation and tensile strength for structural and semi-structural bonding.
Applications include windows, doors, frames, panels, vehicle bodies, special transportation and general industrial assembly.
Henkel says the adhesive provides primerless adhesion to substrates including raw metals, e-coated and painted surfaces, glass and selected plastics, including some low-surface-energy coatings.
The material moisture-cures under ambient conditions and can also be used with TEROSON MS 9372 to accelerate curing. Henkel lists an application range of 15 °C to 40 °C and service temperatures from -40 °C to 100 °C, with short-term exposure to 120 °C.
