RPM International Inc. owns subsidiaries that are leaders in specialty coatings, sealants, building materials and related services. For the fiscal year ended May 31, 2025, RPM reported consolidated net sales of $7.37 billion and did not separately disclose coatings-only sales. During that reporting period, the company operated through four reportable segments: Construction Products, Performance Coatings, Consumer and Specialty Products. Effective June 1, 2025, RPM reorganized into three groups: Construction Products, Performance Coatings and Consumer.
RPM’s Construction Products Group includes businesses that manufacture construction sealants and adhesives, coatings and chemicals, roofing systems, concrete admixture and repair products, building envelope solutions, insulated cladding and concrete forms, flooring systems, waterproofing solutions and restoration and cleaning solutions. The products are used for construction, maintenance and restoration in industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications. Leading brands include Tremco, Flowcrete, Euclid Chemical, Nudura, Dryvit and Legend Brands. The group’s products are sold to distributors, contractors and end users across a geographic footprint spanning approximately 115 countries and territories. The Construction Products Group generates about 39% of RPM’s net sales.

RPM’s Performance Coatings Group provides construction, maintenance and restoration products, including high-performance flooring solutions, corrosion control and fireproofing coatings, fiberglass-reinforced plastic structures, drainage systems, wood stains, finishes and treatments, powder coatings, marine coatings, specialty OEM coatings and edible coatings for industrial and commercial use. Leading brands include Stonhard, Carboline, Fibergrate, TCI and Kop-Coat. Its products are sold worldwide to contractors and distributors, as well as directly to end users through a supply-and-apply model serving manufacturers, public institutions and other commercial customers. The Performance Coatings Group generates approximately 27% of RPM’s total sales.
RPM’s Consumer Group includes businesses that make small-project paints and coatings, primers, caulks and sealants, hobby and craft products, specialty coatings, wood stains and finishes, wall and wood repair products, household cleaners and stain removers, floor finishing systems, plumbing and water cleanup solutions, and fluorescent pigments that are used by professionals and do-it-yourselfers for home maintenance and improvement. Leading brands include Rust-Oleum, DAP, Zinsser, Varathane and DayGlo. Its products are marketed primarily in North America, with an increasing presence in Europe, Australia, South Africa and South America. Sold through home improvement centers, hardware and paint stores, mass merchants, and craft shops, these brands can be found on nearly every garage or basement shelf throughout the United States and Canada. The Consumer Group generates approximately 34% of RPM’s net sales.
Notes: In January 2025, RPM appointed Craig S. Morford, Christopher L. Mapes and Julie A. Beck to its board of directors. Morford and Mapes joined immediately, while Beck’s term began in April.
In February 2025, RPM highlighted its recently opened RPM Platform APAC manufacturing facility in Serendah, Malaysia. The facility incorporates rainwater harvesting, a rooftop garden, LED lighting, recycled-glass flooring and electric forklifts as part of the company’s sustainability and capacity-expansion efforts in Southeast Asia.
In April 2025, RPM announced an agreement to acquire Star Brands Group, the U.K.-based parent company of The Pink Stuff, for its Rust-Oleum subsidiary. The transaction closed in May, adding the fast-growing cleaning-products brand to RPM’s Consumer Group and expanding its presence in e-commerce, mass retail, grocery and drug-store channels.
In June 2025, RPM acquired Ready Seal Inc., a Texas-based manufacturer of premium exterior wood stains, for Rust-Oleum. Ready Seal reported approximately $45 million in calendar-year 2024 sales and joined RPM’s Consumer Group.
In July 2025, RPM reported record fiscal 2025 sales of $7.37 billion and adjusted EBIT of $976 million. The company also outlined its shift from four reporting groups to three, effective June 1, 2025. The former Specialty Products Group was absorbed across the Construction Products, Performance Coatings and Consumer groups, with the Industrial Coatings and Food groups moving into Performance Coatings, the Color Group joining Consumer and Legend Brands joining Construction Products.
In October 2025, RPM elected David C. Dennsteadt executive vice president. Dennsteadt, formerly group president of the Performance Coatings Group, assumed responsibility for corporate administrative functions including finance, legal, risk management, human resources, manufacturing and operations. Gregory Michael succeeded him as group president of the expanded Performance Coatings Group.
