In this study, we evaluate the use of broadband mercury, 385 nm LED and electron beam (EB) curing across a range of different acrylic formulations. The different methods of curing are compared by examining their effect on oxygen inhibition, cure speed and material properties.
Tomorrow’s paints and coatings can be much more than a pretty surface. Many of them will be smart, functional materials that respond to, and change, the environments around them.
AgriEsters (methyl soyate, palm and coconut esters) are a new, low-cost alternative that can help emulsify old solvent-based resins (bead acrylics, oil-based alkyds and polyterpenes), giving formulators new alternatives.
This new silica technology addresses longstanding challenges in manufacturing and also avails a new range of functional silica and silicate products with unique performance profiles that help formulators realize new value in synthetic silica technology.
